The need for efficiency in the moulding departments has pushed research into the main machines, whether they are extruders, injection moulding machines or blowers, which have already been at the highest levels for some time. Innovations and developments on these machines involve significant investments with minimal improvement percentages.
Nowadays, in the production departments of the plastic sector, the main fields where innovation can give a greater return of improvement is the auxiliaries one, among which drying has the greater impact and its efficiency is split up in different parts:
Energy efficiency
Process stability
Low operating costs
Greater automation
The latest generation dryers, combined to hoppers designed to get more efficient performances, allow for significant energy saving and in the meantime the yield improvement on the handled plastic materials.
